The ZyWAN-SDK is a hardware
and software Development Kit providing a quick-to-market wireless
platform designed for the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ASP
(Application Service Provider) markets where it offers the ZyWAN
Hardware and a robust 2.6 Linux Kernel and IBM’s WCTME (Workplace Client
Technology, Micro Edition) extensive J2ME runtime environment enabled
software platform for certified cellular solutions. The ZyWAN-SDK
operates on GSM/GPRS, EvDO/1xRTT CDMA and iDEN cellular networks
offering solutions for many applications including wireless internet
access, AVL, telemetry, SCADA, mobile computing, vehicle tracking and
AMR. The ZyWAN-SDK is very flexible with optional interfaces including
802.11, GPS, Zigbee, CANbus, I/O expansion and VGA monitor & touch
screen.
The ZyWAN-SDK includes the
fully populated 520MHz PXA270 based
ZEUS embedded single board computer
fitted with 128MB of DRAM, 32MB of Flash, and wide input DC/DC PSU along with cables, connectors, AC power supply, software and an
information CD.
Arcom recognizes
that Linux is used extensively in deeply embedded solutions and that
secure communications is an important part of any application involved
in control and monitoring functions. Many users of telnet, rlogin and
ftp may not realize that password information is transmitted across
the Internet unencrypted. Arcom uses OpenSSH to encrypt all traffic
(including passwords) to effectively eliminate eavesdropping,
connection hijacking, and other network-level attacks. OpenSSH can
also provide a variety of secure tunneling capabilities and
authentication methods. Design
Services
If
you need to optimize the operating system image, Arcom offers the
technical expertise of a dedicated embedded Linux development team to
work with you, either to enhance the features of the operating system or
reduce the footprint to save storage space. Arcom has been offering OEM
embedded Linux solutions since 1999 and has worked with many customers
to develop and integrate new drivers and achieve the very best from
embedded Linux. |
