into the embedded Flash. This offers an embedded version of Linux with a
proven background, combined with a high reliability journalling Flash
File system.
Arcom
recognizes that Linux is used extensively in deeply embedded
communications solutions and that secure communications should be an
important part of any telemetry application involved in control and
monitoring functions. Many users of telnet, rlogin and ftp may not
realize that password information is transmitted across the Internet
unencrypted. OpenSSH encrypts all traffic (including passwords) to
effectively eliminate eavesdropping, connection hijacking, and other
network-level attacks. OpenSSH can also provide a variety of secure
tunneling capabilities and authentication methods.
The Development Kit can also be used with Java technology (J2ME) implemented with the IBM J9 JVM. Using the WebSphere Studio Device Developer (WSDD) IDE tools for embedded Java you can create powerful Java applications with rich communication and device management features. Arcom can also provide drivers to communicate with a WebSphere MQ Integrator information broker using MQTT (telemetry transport). Please contact
Arcom Support for further details.
The Development Kit
includes the PEGASUS
PC/104 embedded PC single board computer fitted with 32Mbytes of DRAM
and 16Mbytes of Flash. The PEGASUS is fitted inside a rugged enclosure
and includes development cables, power supply, software and a
comprehensive information CD.
