PEGASUS Development Kit
with Datalight's ROM-DOS and TCP/IP Sockets
The
PEGASUS Development Kit provides users with everything needed to get
up-and-running quickly with the PEGASUS PC104 format single board
computer. In addition to the PEGASUS, the kit is supplied with a power
supply, enclosure and all the cables likely to be required for
development. The Development Kit CD contains the Technical Manual,
device datasheets, ROM-DOS, Datalight Sockets TCP/IP software, example
code and device drivers.
A
‘quickstart’ manual is provided to guide the user through the simple
set-up procedure.

| What
is Datalight's ROM-DOS |
| Datalight’s
ROM-DOS is a DOS workalike operating system designed specifically
for embedded computers. It looks and feels like standard DOS
operating systems but has a very small code size. Also included on
the PEGASUS board is Datalight’s FlashFX Flash Filing System
which allows the Flash memory (and optional SRAM memory) to appear
to the user as a conventional disk drive. |

is Datalight's Sockets 2.0 |
Datalight’s
Sockets is a command-driven Internet protocol software package for
embedded systems and runs on the ROM-DOS operating system
providing both client and server services. Sockets supports most
networking data transmission protocols, including FTP, TCP, DHCP,
IP and email (send and receive). Sockets can operate over the
PEGASUS Ethernet port or via the RS-232 ports using SLIP or using
PPP and a modem. The Development Kit contains example code
demonstrating many of these features.

Board-only purchases of the PEGASUS board includes a licensed copy
of ROM-DOS
