The Director and APEX has expandable I/O from the PC/104 bus on the CPU. Thus, the unit can be built with more communication ports, Ethernet, analog inputs, relays and other various I/O to fit each sites requirement. The I/O in tandem with the IEC-1131 logic editor provides the user local control with PLC/RTU functionality.
